New partnership to ‘help vulnerable people into safe homes’

This comes with the launch of the partnership between social impact investor HSPG and supported housing provider Ready4Home.

This aims to give homeless people and those facing homelessness the best possible chance of managing a successful home and avoiding a return to life on the streets.

Ready4Home chief executive, Paula White, said: “Helping vulnerable people into safe homes and working with them to address the root causes of homelessness is essential for building up the confidence and skills they need to rebuild sustainable lives.”

She added: “Our partnership with HSPG is helping us deliver this vital work across the North West and we have an additional 1,050 homes we’ll be providing in Salford, Chorley, Preston, South Ribble and Wigan which will enable us to help even more vulnerable people in our communities.”

Ready4Home helps people who have backgrounds of domestic abuse, child abuse, rough sleeping, and substance misuse, as well as veterans, care leavers and prison leavers.

Support workers help people access services like dentistry, counselling services and GP surgeries.

HSPG’s role is to make sure all these properties are safe and compliant, audit the support delivered and monitor tenant satisfaction.

The organisation also helps with rent and service charge setting and working with local authorities and commissioners.

Together HSPG and Ready4Home are now responsible for managing 550 homes across the North West, with more than 1,050 in the pipeline.

Since Ready4Home was set up in 2020 the two organisations have helped around 2,300 homeless people across the region since then.
